If the title resonated with you then you must be a planner junkie! Me too. I have used just about every planner out there. Yearly, monthly, weekly, from multiple companies. Sometimes more than once a year because I would decide the one I bought initially wasn’t working for me. I know I am not the only one that does that. Right?
I’ve dug my heels in for several years of the thought of going to a digital planner because I really like the pretty book and love to write everything down. Then COVID hit! Early 2020 I had designed this amazing planner that had everything I wanted. It cost more than I care to admit (and more than I would tell my husband)! It lasted two whole months. Mid-March 2020, I found myself crossing everything off, adding new things, then crossing them off too because EVERYTHING was changing DAILY! My to-do list had grown because we were changing, canceling, rescheduling, reimagining the work. My planner became a legal-size notepad and the list was two pages long where I would then try to sort by similar work and topics to shorter lists. I was overwhelmed and nothing I was doing was working. I was missing meetings and deadlines left and right.
Fast forward to the fall of 2020. I needed to make a change. I started researching digital planners. I needed something that would access multiple emails and have multiple views so I could look at the month, week, or day depending on the info I needed to see.
Did I mention I also like pretty girly planners? Colorful with some stickers and washi tape too! I didn’t use a lot of color, stickers, or add ons when using planners because I tend to get overwhelmed and distracted easily but I do appreciate a nice pretty layout.
Enter Artful Agenda! While researching, I stumbled on this digital planner option and I fell in love! I’ve gone 100% digital and there’s no turning back. This planner syncs with my personal Gmail calendar and my work Outlook calendar too. Any changes made in those calendars sync over and if made in AA they show in those calendars. There are default colors but you can change them as you like. I can look at the entire month, or I can look at the week or day. I spend most of my time in the day view because that’s where the task lists are but I love that I can look at the other views and don’t have to write things in two or three places like I had to in my paper planners. There are different task list areas/options plus a water tracker and a meal planner option (which I also use to track my work hours) PLUS there are stickers, washi tape, and colorful backgrounds/covers. Many that are free!
Speaking of free…Artful Agenda is not free although there is a free 2-week trial. The cost for the planner is $35 for the year. Which is much cheaper than I was spending on personalized paper planners!
I forgot to mention that this planner can be used on your desktop, phone, and tablet which makes it even better! I use it on all three devices. The look and feel varies a little but not enough for me to change my mind. There is a learning curve to making the switch to digital planning but I’m learning to love it and truly learn something new about it every day!
I highly recommend checking out this digital planner option and giving it a try. If I’ve swayed you in any way, please use my referral code.
