Fall of 2021 was a flurry of activity and looking back I think I blinked and missed it. After being caught up in a large fundraising event for the nonprofit that I work for, our entire family came down with COVID, and then before I knew it we were smack dab in the middle of the holidays which is always a whirlwind.

Thankfully our family overcame COVID with little trouble and we were all able to enjoy the holidays together.  This blog could go into the controversy of vaccinated vs non-vaccinated but it won’t because out of the 4 of us we’re a 2 to 2 ratio of those options but 100% of us tested positive and for the most part we all experienced similar symptoms and outcomes. This topic has become so political and commercialized that it lends to arguments, hard feelings, and judgment. I refuse to let the controversial topic ruin friendships and relationships.

The decision is yours but I encourage you to make the decision less about yourself and more about those you love. Weigh all the options and not just the opinions of others.

While I truly did miss most of Fall 2021, there is hope that 2022 can become a good year, and maybe I will be able to slow down and enjoy it.

Hope you all have a fabulous 2022! Make the best of what life brings you. My personal word for the year is gratitude. When things are not going according to plan or I find myself complaining, I plan to stop and focus on what I can be grateful for.

Do you have a word for the year?
