Much like every other person, I try to begin the new year with goals for the year. I avoid calling them resolutions. Resolutions are a lot like diets. They feel restrictive, work for a short time, and then you’re back to doing things the way you’ve always done them. Setting goals gives you something to aim for. How you go about reaching those goals is up to you.

My goal for this year is to be more mindful of the here and now. Instead of thinking about what’s coming in the future days and months, I plan to slow down and enjoy the moments in the present time. Enjoy the time with the grandbaby and leave the dishes in the sink. Enjoy time with mom and worry less about the laundry needing to be done at home.

The other goal for the year is to learn more about vision boards and manifest what I want in life instead of worrying about all the various things that can go wrong. Manifest the positives. I was introduced to vision boards and manifesting this past fall and my goal is to learn more about how these processes and how to make them a part of my daily life.

So in a nutshell, I am calling 2022 the year of the M&Ms. Not the candy (although more of that would be good too) but Mindfulness and Manifestation are the goals for the year. What are your goals?
